Quilt for Zack's Class 2011

I've got a project that I am working on for my DIL, Dawn. Her grandchildren (my great grandchildren) go to the school where Dawn works and they have commissioned me to make a quilt as a fund raiser.

I think I will keep my progress of this project posted here so that those who are interested in bidding on this sometime in March will be able to see how it is made and all the work that is involved. It would be great if the children could be involved in checking my progress (with parents or teacher's help-of course).

I embroidered some designs from Smart Needle. There were 2 sets that I used. A set for the BOYS And a set for the GIRLS. The children from ages 3 years to 6 years old actually chose the colors for the buttons and sewed them in place. I will take their blocks and make a quilt which they will all sign in the border. Then I will quilt it and bind it. At some point the quilt will be auctioned. The proceeds are to benefit the class room.

If you are interested in bidding on this quilt, let me know and I will post contact information.
Please leave questions or comments about the project. I encourage you to post the first names of the childen, teachers, school name or any other pertinent information that would make the project data more complete.

Pictures to come. I would love to have a picture of the kids to post.
